It’s the first of the month and that means Erlounge this week. Hope to see some folks there.

I have decided to adjust the Erlounge schedule to once a month. The plan will be to meet at Fuel in Wallingford the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm. So we will forgo the meeting this week to get on the proper schedule for the next, June 3rd.

Just an FYI, I will be in San Fran speaking at the Erlang conference and will not be able to attend next weeks meeting. But thats not a good reason not to show up.

Another interesting discussion last night at the meeting on topics of leader election, self assembly and etc. Thanks to those who came by. Also, I really liked having it at Fuel, reasonably quiet (with good music), easy parking (from what I could tell), good WIFI and there is a nice lounge-like area in the back. So Fuel Coffee in Wallingford will be the home of the erlounge from now on. The next meeting will be March 18th, seen you then.

Erlang Factory is an Erlang conference put on by the guys at Erlang Training and Consulting. It’s coming up in April in Palo Alto. If you are new to Erlang or an old timer you should consider going, there are a lot of great speakers.

The next meeting will be coming up on the 4th. This time around I will be attempting a non-Capitol Hill location, Fuel Coffee in Wallingford. See you then!

Thanks to those who came out last night. Surprisingly it was a completely different group than last time. Other than some wireless issues things went really well and had some good discussions on all sorts of things including Erlang.

The next meeting will be in two weeks, Feb 18th at 7pm. I decided to make another location change to attempt to find a comfortable home for the Erlounge. This time around it will be at Stumptown Coffee (1115 12th Ave (between Madison St & Spring St) Seattle, WA). Hope to see you there.

Thanks to all those who came out and sorry to anyone that showed up and didn’t find us. It was a lot of fun and we will be doing it again in two weeks. Plan on the next meeting being Feb. 4th, 7pm. Additionally the location will be different, next time it will be at Vivace Cafe (info below). This is the same location that the Seattle.rb guys use. They have WIFI and all that so it should be a bit more laptop friendly but sadly not as beer friendly.
